Connecting services
How to connect Facebook, Instagram, Meta Ads, Google, YouTube, TikTok, Pinterest and Sklik to gas and how to assign profiles to a customer account.
How linking services works
You will understand why linking has two steps and you will know where in gas you link a service and where you check the connected profiles.
Connecting a Meta account
With a single login you connect **gas** to Meta and gain access to Facebook pages, Instagram profiles and Meta Ads ad accounts.
Connecting a Facebook page
You pick a page from a linked Meta account, assign it to customer accounts, and gas starts downloading data for it.
Connecting an Instagram profile
Link a professional Instagram profile to a customer account and gas will start downloading its posts, stories and audience data.
Connecting a Meta Ads ad account
Connect a Meta Ads ad account to a customer account, check that it worked, and learn what to do when the account does not appear in the list or the connection stops working.
Connecting a Google account
One sign-in links gas with Google and opens up data from YouTube, Google Ads and Google Analytics.
Connecting a YouTube channel
You pick a channel from a linked Google account, assign it to customer accounts, and gas starts downloading data about subscribers, views and videos for it.
Connecting a Google Ads account
Connect a specific Google Ads ad account to a customer account, learn the difference between a manager account and a regular one, and find out what to do when the account does not appear in the list or stops sending data.
Connecting a Google Analytics property
Connect a specific Google Analytics property to your customer account, understand why you pick a property and not an account, and handle the situations where something cannot be selected or the data stops arriving.
Connecting a TikTok account
You link your TikTok profile to **gas**, assign it to a customer account and check that data is coming in.
Connecting a Pinterest account
Link your Pinterest account with gas and connect the profile with pins as well as your Pinterest Ads accounts to your customer account.
Linking a Sklik account
Find out where in the Sklik administration you get the access token, how to use it to link an ad account with gas, and what to do when the connection does not work.
Linked accounts of a customer account
Learn how to read the summary of connected profiles, find out who links each account, set the default profile, change the order and safely unlink a profile from the customer account.
Restoring a connection after access expires
Learn how to spot a paused connection to a social network or ad system, restore it with a single login, and understand what happens to the data from the outage period.
Missing permission for a profile
Learn to recognise the Missing permission label, understand how it differs from a paused connection, and find out how to restore a profile's access to data.
Unlinking a service or profile
Explains the three different ways of unlinking in gas, what each one does to your data and to scheduled reports, and how to undo the action.
How often data is updated
Learn how often gas pulls data from each platform, why today's numbers may be incomplete, and how the Refresh button differs from the background downloads.
Who linked the account and why you cannot see it
Find out who on your team connected a given profile to gas, why your own links are not shown in Connected services, and how to get the data flowing again after a colleague has left the company.
