I cannot see any data

An empty screen instead of numbers always has a specific cause in gas, and almost always it is one of the seven things described below. Please go through them from top to bottom. Each step tells you how to recognise that this is where your problem lies and what to do about it. As soon as the data appears, you can ignore the remaining steps.

Before you start, one thing that explains most cases: linking has two stages in gas. First you log in to the platform (Meta, Google, Pinterest, TikTok or Sklik) and thereby allow gas to see the accounts you manage there. We call this a connected service and it belongs to your user account, that is the one you use to log in to gas. In the second step you select a specific page, profile, channel or ad account and connect it to a customer account. Data appears in gas only after this second step. The article How linking services works describes it in detail.

1. Do you have the right customer account open?

A customer account is the "folder" in which connected profiles, data, reports and the subscription live. One user account can belong to several customer accounts, and gas always shows the data of the one you currently have open.

How to recognise it. On the right-hand side of the top bar there is a small label Customer account and below it the name (or abbreviation) of the account that is currently open. On a phone the same block is at the top right, where the page title otherwise sits. If you read a different name there than you expect, you were looking for the data in the wrong account.

What to do. Click the account name and select the right one. On a computer you can also open the menu with the shortcut Ctrl + Shift + C (⌘ + Shift + C on a Mac). If you belong to only one customer account, the name is not clickable and you can skip this step.

gas remembers which customer account you used last, but it remembers it in the specific browser and computer. When you log in from somewhere else or clear your browser data, the first account from the list with an active subscription opens. That is why you sometimes see "someone else's" data on another computer. More in the article Switching between customer accounts.

2. Is the selected period one that can contain data at all?

How to recognise it. The period selector is in the page header next to the page title, not in the top bar of the application. It is a button with a calendar icon showing the currently selected period. The default choice is Last 7 days.

You can choose from these periods: Last 7 days, Last 14 days, Last 28 days, Last 90 days, This year, Last week, Last month, Last quarter, Last year, 3 years and Custom range, where you click the range together in the calendar.

Two things cause the most confusion in this step:

  • Preset periods for social networks end yesterday, not today. For YouTube and Pinterest they end a little earlier still, because these platforms finish calculating their numbers several days back. For ad networks (Meta Ads, Google Ads, Sklik, Pinterest Ads) the period does include today.
  • Data exists only for the time the profile was connected. If you connected the profile last week and you are looking at Last year, you will see nothing.

What to do. Switch to a longer period, for example Last 90 days or This year. If the numbers appear, the problem was only in the selected period. Details on choosing a period and comparing with a previous one are in the article Selecting a period and comparison.

3. Is the profile connected to this customer account?

This is the most frequent cause of all. Logging in to the platform alone does not display any data until you connect the specific page, profile, channel or ad account to the customer account.

How to recognise it. On the Overview page the card of the network in question shows the text "We didn't find any profile for this widget. Connect gas with your account in the settings." and below it the buttons Remove card and Create new link. When you open the network page in the left menu, gas shows the No profile dialog (No account for ad accounts and Websites, No channel for YouTube) with the text "To display the content you need a linked profile." and offers to take you to the settings. If you decline the offer, it returns you to the Overview.

What to do.

  1. Open Settings → Connected services. You will see a dashboard with tiles Meta accounts, Google accounts, Pinterest accounts, TikTok accounts and Sklik accounts. Each tile shows the number of your linked accounts.
  2. Click the tile of the network in question and open the specific account in the list.
  3. Check whether the list contains the profile whose data you are looking for. If it is not there, connect it.
  4. If you belong to several customer accounts, the table also has a Customers column. Verify that it lists the customer account in which you are missing the data. If you belong to only one customer account, the column is not shown and the profile is connected to it automatically.

The Administrator and User roles may connect a profile to a customer account. The Viewer role only views data and cannot carry out the connection. The article Users and roles in a customer account describes which role you have in the account.

4. Did someone else from the team connect the profile?

In Settings → Connected services you see only your own links. You will not find a profile that a colleague connected there, even though it works normally in gas and has data. This is a common and correct state, you do not need to create a second link for the same profile.

How to recognise it. The complete view of what is connected to the customer account and who connected it is in Settings → Customer account → Linked accounts. The table is split by network and has a Who links the account column with the e-mail of the person the link belongs to. The e-mail is a link, you can write to the person straight away.

The value Nobody deserves special attention. It means that the profile is on the customer account, but there is no live link behind it, so there is nobody to download data for it. The row is highlighted in the table as an error.

What to do. Only the Administrator role can get into the Customer account section. Others see the message "You do not have sufficient permissions to edit the customer account." instead of the content. If you are not an Administrator, write to the administrator of your customer account and ask them to look into Linked accounts. If you are an Administrator and the column says Nobody, the profile has to be connected again. The whole topic is covered in the article Who linked the account and why I cannot see it.

The most frequent cause of suddenly missing data is a colleague who has left the company. They connected the profile at some point, and as soon as their access on the platform is taken away or their account is cancelled, the link stops working, even though you still see the profile in gas. The solution is not to delete the profile and create it again. An active colleague who has access to it on the platform connects the profile again and during the selection chooses Take ownership, which takes the profile over under their own link. History and settings are preserved and data starts arriving again.

5. Has access to the network expired?

The access you gave gas can stop being valid: you change your password on the platform, someone removes the application in the network settings, an administrator cancels your role, or the access simply expires. gas calls this a paused connection.

How to recognise it. You can recognise it in three places:

  • You receive a notification, for example Connection to Meta paused. You will find it under the bell in the top bar and on the Notifications page.
  • On the Settings → Connected services dashboard, the tile of the affected network has an orange exclamation mark in the corner with the label "One account requires attention".
  • In the list of accounts for that network, a yellow Paused tag is shown next to the name. Clicking it opens a small window with an explanation, the date of pausing and a Reconnect button.

What to do.

  1. Open Settings → Connected services and click the tile of the network with the exclamation mark.
  2. In the list, click the yellow Paused tag next to the affected account.
  3. Click Reconnect and go through the platform login again. In the login dialog leave everything the platform offers you switched on. An unticked item is the most frequent reason why reconnecting "goes through" but data still does not arrive.
  4. After reconnecting, the profiles switch over to the new access by themselves and gas starts filling in the days that were missing during the outage.

A paused connection has a deadline. The existing numbers stay visible, but no new days are added, and if you do not reconnect within 14 days, we delete the data belonging to it. The exact date is given in the notification and in the window next to the Paused tag.

For Sklik, reconnecting works differently than for the other networks: you do not log in through a Seznam window, but paste a new token into gas that you generate in your Sklik account. The article Linking a Sklik account describes the procedure.

Alongside the Paused tag there is a second, similar-looking state: Missing permission. It means that the whole link is still alive, only for one specific profile gas has lost its permission (usually your role for one page was removed on the platform). The window also shows the date from which data has stopped arriving. The difference between the two states is covered in the articles Reconnecting after access expires and Missing permission for a profile.

6. Has the time for the first data download not passed yet?

gas does not download data at the moment you connect a profile. It waits for the next regular download, which it schedules itself.

How to recognise it. The profile is in the list of connected ones, no tag is shown next to it, the period is wide, and yet the page is empty or the last few days are missing. This typically happens during the first hours after connecting.

What to do. Give it time. The rough intervals you can count on:

  • Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest and Meta Ads: several times an hour up to several times a day, depending on the type of data.
  • Google Ads: continuously during the day.
  • YouTube and Sklik: once a day. With these two networks it makes sense to wait until the next day.

At the same time gas tries to fill in the past as well. For Facebook, Instagram and Meta ad accounts the history is filled in automatically in the background after connecting, as far back as the platform will release it (roughly three months back for daily overviews, longer for ad data). For the other networks the history deepens gradually, so the graph may be short during the first days after connecting. The article How often data is updated describes it in more detail.

The Refresh button in the page header reloads what gas already has stored. It does not start a new download from Facebook, Google or any other platform, so you cannot use it to summon data that has not arrived yet.

7. Is the network itself delayed or is the period genuinely empty?

The last possibility is that gas works correctly and the emptiness is a faithful picture of reality.

How to recognise it and what to do.

  • A new profile with no content. If the profile has no posts, videos or running ads in the selected period, zero is the correct value. Try a wider period or a profile that does have content.
  • Platforms calculate numbers retrospectively. Most networks close a day only after 24 to 48 hours, and for YouTube and Pinterest it can take even longer. Today's and yesterday's numbers are therefore usually incomplete and go up the next day. That is exactly why the preset periods for these networks end earlier than today.
  • A metric the platform discontinued. For some Facebook indicators the series in the graph ends in the middle of June 2026 and does not continue. This is not a gas fault, the platform no longer provides these numbers. Where a discontinued metric has a replacement, the replacement calculates differently, so the values tend to be lower and the series cannot be joined smoothly to the older part.
  • Emptiness in only one part of the page. Graphs and tables often draw on different data. An empty posts table with a full followers graph means that no post was published in the period, not that data is missing.

If none of the steps helped

Write to us through the contact form. So that we can answer you right the first time, please include:

  1. The name of the customer account in which you are missing data.
  2. The network and the name of the specific profile, page, channel or ad account.
  3. The period you have selected.
  4. Since when the data has been missing, or when you last saw it.
  5. A screenshot of the whole page including the top bar and the header with the period.

The article Contacting support sums up everything that is useful for support to know.

Common problems

Every card on the Overview says "We didn't find any profile for this widget"

By default the Overview has cards for all networks regardless of what you have connected. As long as you have no profile connected, each of them shows this sentence. Connect your first profile according to step 3, or remove the cards of the networks you do not use with the Remove card button.

I switched customer account and the data disappeared

Each customer account has its own connected profiles. What is connected in one is not automatically connected in the other. Switch back, or connect the profile in the second account too according to step 3.

A colleague sees the data, I do not

Most often the two of you do not have the same customer account open. Compare the name in the top bar. If it matches, the cause may be a different selected period or the profile that is selected on the network page, see below.

The profile is on the customer account, but there is no live link behind it, so there is nobody to download data for it. That is why the row is highlighted in the table as an error. Connect the profile again from your own link; if you do not have access to it on the platform, ask a colleague who has.

The colleague who connected the profile has left the company

As soon as their access on the platform is taken away, the link stops working, even though you still see the profile in gas. Do not delete it. An active colleague with access connects the profile again and during the selection chooses Take ownership, which takes it over together with its history and settings.

An account shows a yellow Paused tag

Access to the platform has expired or was revoked. Click the tag and then Reconnect. If you do not reconnect within 14 days, we delete the data belonging to it; the exact date is given in the window next to the tag.

A profile shows the Missing permission tag

The whole link keeps working, only for this one profile gas has lost its permission, usually because your role for a specific page or account was removed on the platform. Have the permission restored on the platform, or click Reconnect and allow the profile again in the dialog. The tag disappears by itself after the first successful data download.

When connecting, gas says another user has already linked the profile

It means that the same profile is covered by someone else's link. gas offers you to use Take ownership, that is to take the profile over under your own link including its settings and availability for customer accounts. Before you do that, check with the administrator of the customer account whether it is really necessary. If the original link works, there is no point creating a second one.

The customer account cannot be selected when connecting, it is greyed out

The greyed-out item states the reason. Limit reached means that the tariff does not allow any more profiles of this network, No permission means that in that customer account you do not have a role that may connect profiles. The article Limits and their usage describes limits and their consumption.

The profile is visible in the list but cannot be selected

When more profiles are connected than the tariff allows, some of them stay greyed out in the list and no data is shown for them. The solution is either to unlink the profiles you no longer need, or to have your limit increased. Write through the contact form.

Data ends on one day and does not continue

Look at whether something started on that day. Typically it is the day when the connection was paused (step 5) or when the profile stopped synchronising because of a missing permission. For some Facebook indicators it is, on the contrary, a metric that the platform discontinued in the middle of June 2026, and that one will not continue.

The graph starts only on the day of connecting, older numbers are missing

gas can fill in only the history that the platform releases retrospectively. For Facebook, Instagram and Meta ad accounts it is filled in automatically (roughly three months back for daily overviews), for the other networks the history deepens gradually and older periods can no longer be filled in.

Today's numbers are zero or considerably lower than on the platform

Today is not closed yet. The networks calculate their values with a delay of roughly one to two days and gas shows what they have already sent. So compare closed days, not today. Differences in numbers are covered in the article The numbers differ from Facebook or Google.

A different profile than I expect is selected on the network page

When several profiles of one network are connected to the customer account, the page shows only the selected one. gas remembers the choice, so it may be remembered from last time. Change the profile in the selector in the page header. Which profile is offered as the default is set in Settings → Customer account → Linked accounts, see the article Linked accounts of a customer account.

I do not have the network in the left menu at all

The Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, YouTube and Websites networks are always in the menu. Meta Ads, Google Ads, Sklik and Pinterest Ads appear only if the customer account tariff includes them. You can find out what your tariff covers in Settings → Customer account → Subscription, or in the articles Subscription and tariffs and The feature is not available.

I opened a network page and gas returned me to the Overview

Either no profile of that network is connected to the customer account (you declined the offer to go to the settings), or that section is not part of the tariff and gas showed the message "Access to this page was denied."

The Refresh button changed nothing

Refresh reloads what gas already has stored. It does not start a new download from the platform. If the data has not arrived yet, only time helps (step 6).

Instead of the whole page there is a red Subscription status card

The customer account has no active subscription, which is why data is not shown. The card also gives the date when the last subscription ended. An Administrator resolves it in Settings → Customer account → Subscription, everyone else should turn to the administrator or write through the contact form.

After logging in, a message about missing access appears instead of data

The text says "Your account does not have access to any customer." and means that your user account is not yet included in any customer account, so there is nowhere to take data from. Ask the administrator for an invitation, or write through the contact form.

The report is empty or a profile is missing from it

A report follows the same rules as the screens: a profile that is not connected or whose connection is paused does not get into it. gas sends a notification about the omitted profile and once the connection is restored it can generate the report again. The article When a report is missing or incomplete describes it.
